Description
This particular unit was electronically restored in June of 2023. All Electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with superior Nichicon and Panasonic caps. The belt was replaced. It was detail cleaned in and out. The Chassis top and sides were repainted. All primary functions were tested and it passed all tests with flying colors. FF & Rewind are fast, it plays and records great.
Cosmetically, the painted bonnet looks good but not perfect or original. The top of the faceplate has some light scratches. The protective plastic cover to the remote (which works fine) is lifting in spots. There are no other cosmetic issues.
LOW hours The drum setting reads 10!
About the SV-3700 in general:Â Â
The Panasonic SV-3700Â is a fourth-generation Pro-DAT machine, designed specifically for professionai applications, it features an enhanced dynamic range, instrumentation quality input and output analog interfaces for extended linearity and reduced distortion.
The SV-3700 uses One-bit A-to-D Converters which offer dramatically improved performance and linearity when compared to conventional successive-approximation PCM converters. One-bit ADCs with 64-times oversam-piing filtering significantly reduce both signal and zero-cross distortion, producing cleaner, clearer audio signal at low as well as high recording levels. The result is an accuracy in the spectral balance, ambience and space around instruments that form a vital part of natural musical sounds.
The SV-3700 also employs high resolution D-to-A converter systems to ensure optimum replay quality, by effectively removing zero-cross distortion and enhancing linearity at low signal levels.
