Capacitors
All signal path capacitors of 4.7uf or smaller will be replaced with film caps. We proudly offer Wima (and sometimes Kemet) film caps for superior sonics and longevity. All supplied film caps have a standard 5mm gap between the leads making them an easy install in all but the rarest circumstances
We have a limited selection of axial (leads at both ends) capacitors. In most cases our kits will instead supply radial caps to replace existing axial caps. In the rarest of cases you may need to extend them with wire. While this is worth noting, most vintage audio us
Large off board filtering caps will often be smaller in diameter than the originals. Our hints and instructions document offers a variety of mounting options.
Transistors & Diodes
Not all transistors and diodes are included. Nor should they be. We have compiled of list of vintage transistors and diodes that we know now are faulty for one reason or another. Our kits include replacements for those. Replacing all transistors is neither needed nor recommended.
Included in the documentation is the pinout configuration of any replacement transistors, making install a breeze.
Relays
Many receiver and amplifier kits will include replacement relay(s). We can’t ascertain or source relays for other models. If that is the case the relay is not included.
Not Included
Our kits do not include any mechanical parts (belts, etc), lamps or fuses.
Production Changes
Some units saw minimal changes in the parts they used over the life of production. In most cases, we are aware of this and provide the parts for both versions of that unit. If your unit is an exception, again, let us know so we can get you the right parts and update our kits for future customers.

Shipping
Most kits are shipped by the next business day via USPS with tracking. On rare occasion shipping may be delayed a day or two if we are waiting on parts.
Kit parts come in solid boxes with parts in clearly labeled baggies separated by board. Also included on the baggie label is the total quantity of parts that baggie holds.

Errors: Service Manual or Packing
While rare, both happen. If your kit is missing or has the wrong value for a given part, just let us know. In most cases, we will simply ship you the missing part. In very rare cases (mostly with international orders, we may instead offer a partial refund.
We strive to send you the right parts and appreciate your understanding when challenges occur.
We have corrected many service manual errors and continue to do so as needed. PLEASE contact use if you run into one not found on our parts list.
Restore NOT Repair
If your unit is unfunctional for an unknown reason, do not purchase and install this kit without first diagnosing the problem. Our kits are made under the assumption that the buyer has a functioning unit. While there are plenty of cases where a noisy or otherwise problematic unit will work perfectly after installing our restoration kit, unless you have already diagnosed the problem to bad caps or faulty transistors our kit replaces, assume our kit will NOT repair your unit.
We do offer some troubleshooting guidance in the Hints & Instructions document that may be of help. That document also has links to helpful websites and such. ChatGPT and related AI may also be of some initial help.
